Untitled (Failed Passport of Dith Pran #3)
Fauxtographer: Al Rockoff
Description: Before it turned grey, this small rectangle contained a passport image of a journalist.
Pictured: Dith Pran
Developed in the French Embassy in Cambodia while it was surrounded by the Khmer Rouge, this was the last of several failed attempts by Al Rockoff to produce a passport image for journalist Dith Pran. Due to bad paper or chemistry, the image was not successfully fixed to the paper and disappeared in the darkroom. Several other attempts at printing this image were also unsuccessful.
